Philosophy of Care
This philosophy is how I strive to present myself, not just in the counseling room, but in the way I navigate the world. Whether I’m guiding a client, leading a child through movement, or simply responding to life’s unfolding, I aim to embody the values I believe in: presence, dignity, and deep listening. My practice is not compartmentalized from my life; it reflects it. As I explored in my recent literature review on moral selfhood, the tension between individual autonomy and relational responsibility isn’t something to solve, but to walk with. Counseling invites us into that living paradox daily.

At the heart of my work is Soul Threads, a symbolic and presence-based framework I developed to help individuals rediscover their own internal compass. Soul Threads weaves together psychological insight, mythology, somatic awareness, and astrology to illuminate the deeper patterns and potentials each person carries. I believe that presence—the felt sense of truth in the body—is the portal through which we access meaning and healing. It’s where the thread begins.
I work with spiritual seekers experiencing transformation, young people navigating identity and direction, and children engaging their bodies and imaginations in story-based movement. Across these diverse populations, the goal is the same: to create a space where individuals can reconnect with what is true and alive within themselves.
Counseling is a values-infused, relational act. Every person arrives shaped by their own culture, beliefs, and history, and I honor that complexity. My values, curiosity, justice, inner freedom, humility, and reverence for life are present in the room, but they are never the guide. I practice ethical bracketing and cultural humility, knowing that my values must never eclipse the client’s autonomy or goals. When dissonance arises, I approach it with transparency, supervision, and a commitment to the principle of nonmaleficence.
Whether I’m using somatic inquiry, dream reflection, values clarification, or mythic narrative work, I aim to meet each client exactly where they are. I especially love walking alongside those who are letting go of inherited roles, awakening to new ways of being, or asking the big questions: Who am I, really? What thread is mine to follow?
I believe every person is already whole. Counseling, at its best, is the sacred practice of remembering that truth together.
