Infinite Threads · Embodied Threads
Ballet Lab
Not another class. A laboratory — where one element of technique is taken apart and rebuilt from the inside.
What a Lab Is
A class moves through everything. A Lab stops on one thing. Each study takes a single element of technique — placement, the turn, the balance, the adagio — and studies it slowly, as an embodied question rather than a step to survive. Not more repetition. Closer attention.
The work pairs precise technical study with the interoceptive practice at the heart of Embodied Threads: learning to feel the movement from the inside, so that the shape comes from awareness rather than imitation. For dancers who don't just execute the shape, but inhabit it.
One Element
A single thing, taken apart and understood
From Inside
Felt from within, not copied from without
Rebuilt
Put back together as your own
The shape you can feel
is the shape you can own.
The Studies
Each study rests on the one before it. Nothing here is a drop-in — it is a progression, built in order: the line, the strength to hold it, and the first voice of expression.
Alignment & Placement
The Vertical Line
How the body organizes itself before it moves. The line every other study rests on.
Strength & Stability
The Deep Center
Learning to stay organized while everything moves — the strength that sustains the line.
Artistry & Musicality
Breath & Carriage
Where technique begins to speak — breath, phrasing, and the courage to make a choice.
Study IV
Forthcoming
Technique is the container.
The dancer is what it holds.
